Sturgis Bank Board Awards Promotions
At its annual meeting held in May, the Sturgis Bank Board of Directors approved promotions for several employees. Jason Hyska, CEO of Sturgis Bank, said “On behalf of the board of directors, I am pleased to recognize these team members for their contributions to Sturgis Bank, for being great examples of our company values, and for their service to our shareholders, customers, fellow employees, and communities. Kim Dwyer was promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Retail Lending. She joined Sturgis Bank in June 2021 as Vice President, Mortgage Lender, and was promoted to Vice President, Head of Retail Lending in October 2022. Kim has almost 30 years’ experience in financial services. Kim holds certifications in Leadership, Underwriting and Quality Control, and the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008. She is a member of the Michigan Bankers Association Retail Lending Committee, the Branch County Association of Realtors, and an Instructor for Junior Achievement.
Thomas Littlefield was promoted to Vice President, Commercial Lender. He serves the greater Sturgis area and has an office at the Sturgis Banking Center Main Office. Thomas joined Sturgis Bank in 2016 as a Customer Service Representative and quickly moved into commercial lending. He had prior experiences in the restaurant and automotive industries. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Michigan State University. He is an active volunteer for the St. Joseph County Grange Fair and Kiwanis Club, a statewide 4-H leader, a member of the Board of Directors for Camp Fort Hill, and Vice Chair of the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce.
Mary Tabanguil was promoted to Vice President, Mortgage Lender. Mary serves customers in the Portage and Kalamazoo area. She joines Sturgis Bank in 2016 and previously worked as a customer service representative at a financial services organization and as Assistant Director of Corporate Relations for Western Michgian University. Mary holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management degree and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree, both from the Haworth College of Business, Western Michigan University. Her office in is the Portage Banking Center on Creekside Drive.
Crystal Broom was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations Team Lead. Crystal has worked for Sturgis Bank since 1999 in a variety of roles in loan processing and underwriting, most recently as Loan Processing Manager.
Tracy Mynhier was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Senior Underwriter. She joined Sturgis Bank in 2015 as an underwriter in loan operations and was promoted to Senior Underwriter in 2019. She holds Bachelor of Business degrees in Finance and Accounting from Baker College in Jackson, Michigan. Tracy volunteers with the Sturgis Bank School Savings program at Colon Elementary School.
