In the winter of 2020, we proudly opened our doors on Main Street in downtown Saint Joseph, our first branch to open in our Western Market expansion into Berrien County. While this location began as a loan processing center, we quickly transitioned to a full-service banking center eager to meet the needs of the community.
The Law Office of Attorney Gary Hosbein occupied 320 Main Street for several decades. When we took over the space, we promised Hosbein we would gladly take on the long-standing tradition of draping the “gingerbread” style building in Christmas lights each year.
Dating further back, this was originally Pure Oil Gas Station and Service Center in the 50s and 60s. Cars could pull into the building on one side for service and out on the other, and two gas pumps sat in front.
This site is home to a powerhouse group of local banking veterans, led by Bob Burch SVP Community President, along with Joseph Dick VP Commercial Lending, and Larry Morrow VP Mortgage Lending. Together, they provide expert-level banking and lending services backed by years of experience in the Berrien County community.
Today, our banking center is led by Nick Barber, Branch Manager of the Southwestern Market, who also oversees our second Saint Joseph location on Cleveland Avenue and our branch in Niles. They are joined by a team of banking professionals happy to assist you with deposit and transactional products and services to fit your specific needs.
